The compressor’s indicated frequency is reduced by 27% using the compressor’s lowest output control, which is reduced from the existing 15rps to 12rps (may differ by model). The testing was conducted in Samsung’s 132m² residential environment laboratory at a temperature of 35°C/24°C (dry bulb/wet bulb, KS C 9306: air conditioner). AI Digital Inverter Control

Cool quickly, quietly and efficiently. Using AI it analyzes your usage patterns, indoor and outdoor conditions, and continuously senses the air conditioner’s operating status. It can then precisely control the compressor’s frequency to maintain the preferred temperature and reduce energy use.

Cool rooms rapidly. The twin compressor works stably at any speed, as its two cylinders rotate alternately. The BLDC motor’s Neodymium magnets are 3x stronger than normal, which generates powerful and rapid rotation. So it cools the air 43% faster and disperses cool air farther and wider.

Freeze Wash

Keep the air conditioner clean and hygienic. Freeze Wash quickly freezes and then defrosts the Heat Exchanger. So it is washed in water, which removes dirt and contamination, including 95% of microorganisms. Finally, it dries up any moisture. And it alerts you when it is time for a clean.

The Freeze Wash function is only available on certain WindFree models.

Shows the air conditioner cleaning itself by blowing mild air for 10 minutes, or adding an extra 10 or 20 minutes of WindFree™ air if necessary.

Stays fresh & hygienic

3-step Auto Clean

Keep the air conditioner hygienic by doing nothing! After it has been working, an Auto Clean function automatically dries the Heat Exchanger using a 3-step process. It removes moisture inside by blowing air for between 10 to 30 minutes. So it helps prevent the buildup of bacteria and odors.

Models without WindFree mode will use a 2-step process (3 minutes of auto air flow and 7 minutes of high air flow).

Only WindFree models will check the internal humidity.

The Auto Clean time will vary depending on the condition of the air conditioner.

Easy to clean filter

Easy Filter

Keep your air conditioner working efficiently with little effort. Unlike conventional filters, the Easy Filter is located outside, on the top, so it can easily be taken out and cleaned. It is made of a dense mesh, so it is very effective at capturing dust, which keeps the Heat Exchanger clean.

Tested in Korea test lab (FITI). Data has been measured under specific testing conditions and may vary depending on environmental factors and individual use.

Enhance the performance and efficiency of the Heat Exchanger. The DuraFin is made of a denser material and thicker in design and its improved coating has more corrosion resistance than previous models. So it passes the accelerated Sea Water Acetic Acid Test (SWAAT) for corrosion over 100 days.

Lasting protection

DuraFin+

Stay comfortably cool for a long time. The DuraFin+ is made of corrosion-resistant material to protect the condenser from rusting, which helps to maintain the performance and efficiency of the Heat Exchanger. Its superb corrosion-resistance was proven in a Salt Spray Test (SST) for 500 hours.

Based on internal testing by applying pressure (42kgf/cm2) using nitrogen for 1 minute after a Salt Spray Test (SST) of over 500 hours, in accordance with ASTM B117 and KS D(ISO 9227).

DuraFin Ultra

Protect the Heat Exchanger to maintain its performance. The DuraFin Ultra has anti-corrosive and hydrophilic layers that prevent rust from forming on the Heat Exchanger. Its superb corrosion resistance was proven in a Salt Spray Test (SST) of over 3,000 hours with no refrigerant leakage.

Triple Protector Plus

Corrosion-resistant

Coated Copper Tube

Enjoy a long-lasting and consistent performance. The Heat Exchanger’s coated copper tubes have 7.5x better corrosion resistance, protecting it against harmful environmental conditions, like dust and pollutants. So the indoor unit will work reliably for a long time and needs less maintenance.

Based on testing by TUV Rheinland in accordance with the ASTM G85 Annex A3 modified-SWAAT test, compared to the non-coated copper tube. The level of corrosion resistance is based on the reduction rate of the copper tube’s thickness. The original thickness of each copper tube was 206㎛. After 40 days, the coated copper tube was 186㎛ thick and the non-coated copper tube was 52㎛ thick.
